Burton Mill Solutions Acquires Industrial Cutting Tools, Expands Service Network!

Burton Mill Solutions, based in Woodland, WA, has acquired Industrial Cutting Tools (ICT), a company located in Quitman, GA, specializing in the reconditioning of industrial cutting tools for sawmills, chip, and pellet operations throughout the Southeastern U.S. This acquisition enhances Burton’s geographic footprint and strengthens its technical capabilities, enabling the company to better serve primary wood producers who outsource the reconditioning of circle and band saws, machine knives, and other tools.

With the addition of ICT, Burton bolsters its expertise in wood processing technology, covering areas such as wide-band and circle saws, industrial knives, filing room equipment, reconditioning services, and industrial wear parts.

Chuck Wert, Senior Vice President of Burton Mill Solutions, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting, “We are thrilled to join forces with ICT, as this partnership will enable us to elevate our service offerings and better meet the needs of our customers in the region.”

Walter Cowart, General Manager of ICT, called the merger an exciting opportunity for both companies. Scott Mathis, a longtime ICT employee, will take on the role of operations manager, ensuring continuity and a focus on improving service delivery for customers.

Dale Brown, CEO of Burton Mill Solutions and its sister companies USNR and Mid-South Engineering, emphasized that this acquisition aligns with the company’s mission to provide innovative solutions that enhance productivity in the wood processing industry.

ICT’s location in southern Georgia will complement Burton’s existing network of service centers, which are already established in Maine, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Alabama. Burton Mill Solutions, along with its industry-leading brands like Simonds International, BGR Saws, and The Knife Source, continues to build its reputation as a key provider of cutting tools and services to the lumber, pulp, and wood biomass industries.
