As a global leader in woodworking machinery, Biesse specializes in manufacturing integrated lines for processing wood, glass, stone, plastic, and composite materials. The company’s success can be attributed to its effective integration and localization of European expertise and technology within its Indian operations, enabling it to offer premium machinery that meets stringent European standards. Currently, approximately 80% of Biesse’s total production is exported worldwide.
Sayeed Ahmed, CEO of Biesse India, emphasized the significance of the Bangalore manufacturing facility, which is the largest outside Italy, in contributing to both local and international markets. “We empower our employees with advanced manufacturing skills, enabling them to produce world-class machines,” Ahmed stated. He further highlighted Biesse’s commitment to scaling up production and enhancing workforce skills as essential to their growth strategy.
In addition to its export success, Biesse India is proactively sending trained engineers to its subsidiaries to support the global markets supplied with machines from India. The Indian government’s initiatives to enforce trade barriers against substandard imports have increased the demand for high-quality, made-in-India products. The growing need for BIS-certified machinery, along with the rise of factory automation and the expansion of industries in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, is expected to further boost Biesse’s sales.
Biesse is also focusing on expanding its product range and investing in product development to address the production challenges faced by customers globally. The company has a skilled technical product team dedicated to continuous innovation and is actively working on new projects to enhance customer service and satisfaction.
