CGTech Showcases Latest Software Innovations at IMTS 2024!

CGTech, a leading developer of CNC simulation, verification, optimization, and post-processing software, presented its latest advancements at IMTS 2024, offering attendees a glimpse of cutting-edge technologies. The company highlighted the latest versions of its flagship software, VERICUT 9.5, post-processing solution ICAM V25, and the new standalone optimization product, VERICUT Optimizer.

The newly released VERICUT 9.5 introduces enhanced precision and efficiency for CNC manufacturing. Key updates include a Heat Map feature in the Tool Summary window, offering improved visualization of tool wear patterns, enabling more efficient tracking of tool life. The software’s new CNC Machine Connectivity supports real-time data visibility and post-machining analysis, compatible with FANUC, OKUMA, Siemens, and Heidenhain-controlled CNC machines. Enhancements also streamline coordinate system management, boost CAM interface support, and offer advanced tool simulation capabilities.

ICAM V25 builds on this, delivering improved support for multi-channel mill-turn operations, singularity avoidance, and advanced motion optimization. New features like SmartCUT and SmartPATH enhance performance, while the addition of a CL-oriented look-ahead function, offline license support, and enhanced 3D scene manipulation boost user experience and accuracy.

Launching at IMTS 2024, VERICUT Optimizer (VO) is a powerful standalone tool for NC program optimization. It integrates seamlessly with any CAM system, optimizing cutting processes to reduce cycle times, extend tool life, and improve part quality—all without requiring VERICUT to run.

CGTech’s product specialist, Jeff Voegele, led a session on September 12, titled “Closing the Gap between Simulation and the Shop Floor,” where he discussed how integrating simulation software with CNC machines provides deeper insights into NC program performance and enhances overall shop efficiency.
