weAR IS A CROSS-CUTTING AUTOMATION AND ROBOTICS EVENT AIMED AT ALL INDUSTRIES

In response to the growing influence of robotics and automation in the different sectors of
advanced industry, weAR is presented as a practical, specialised and transversal event,
international in nature, and aimed at solving technical problems in all the user industries of
smart manufacturing. The event will take place every two years and will be held for the first time
from 3 to 5 June at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre as part of +INDUSTRY.
The new event will provide a great opportunity for automation and robotics companies to
promote themselves and contact with a wide range of user industries. Furthermore, it will be
held in a valuable environment of synergies, with all the leading sectors of advanced
manufacturing represented at the +INDUSTRY fairs: BeDIGITAL, ADDIT3D, MAINTENANCE,
PUMPS&VALVES, SUBCONTRATACIÓN and weAR. Likewise, the WORKinn employment forum
will continue to respond to the challenge of finding talent in the industry.
With a format that includes an exhibition area, a workshop area, demonstrations, technical visits
and networking spaces, weAR aims to become a benchmark for robotics and automation. It will
thus represent the full spectrum of intelligent and digital automation, and will fit in with the new
orientation of +INDUSTRY: transversal and open to all industries.
The weAR exhibition area will mainly host companies from the Iberian Peninsula, France and
North Africa and will showcase the latest technologies and innovations and encourage technical-
commercial relations. The workshops and demonstrations area will promote the transfer of
knowledge and propose practical solutions to current problems and future challenges. And the
networking spaces will promote cooperation and commercial agreements.
Bringing together a broad spectrum of sectors, the exhibition will feature manufacturers and
distributors of drive systems and components, sensor technology, control technology, IPC,
industrial software, human-machine interface, electrical networks and factory supplies,
interface and interface technology, low-voltage switchgear, mechanical infrastructure,
industrial communication, assembly and handling technology, positioning systems, safety and
security technology, industrial wearables, AGVs, robotics and machine vision.
Among the visiting user sectors are the pharmaceutical/cosmetics, food and beverage,
packaging, logistics and intralogistics, automotive and auxiliary industry, aeronautics and
defence, railway and auxiliary industry, water supply and treatment, construction, naval, textile,
iron and steel, plastic-rubber, capital goods, chemical, petrochemical and energy. A wide variety
of machinery manufacturers, components, assemblers, end users (OEMs), engineering
companies and technology centres will also be present at weAR to find what they need in
Automation and Robotics.
weAR is organised by STECH, the Spanish Association of Intelligent Technologies for the
Manufacturing Industry, and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
