FormAlloy Technologies Inc., a leader in metal additive manufacturing (AM), has opened its new Application Development Center in Spring Valley, California. This state-of-the-art facility is set to become a hub for research and development, providing customers and partners with access to the latest metal 3D printing technology, expert consultation, and a collaborative environment to innovate and refine applications.
The grand opening event in July featured a keynote address by Congresswoman Sara Jacobs, a strong advocate for technological advancement and economic development in the region. The event included facility tours, live demonstrations of FormAlloy’s precision directed energy deposition (DED) systems, and an impact statement from NAVAIR on the importance of this technology to Naval aviation.
“We were thrilled to open our new Application Development Center and welcome Congresswoman Sara Jacobs to join us in this celebration,” said Melanie Lang, FormAlloy CEO and co-founder. “This center represents our commitment to driving innovation in additive manufacturing and supporting our customers in bringing their groundbreaking ideas to life.”
Congresswoman Jacobs emphasized the significance of supporting advanced manufacturing technologies and their potential to drive economic growth in the San Diego region. She presented the FormAlloy team with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition to commemorate the opening of the center.
The new facility will serve as a cornerstone for FormAlloy’s continued growth, enabling the development of cutting-edge solutions in AM and supporting a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, energy, and medical.
