Mitutoyo Introduces LH600F/FG Linear Height Gage with Advanced Features for Precision Measurement – See it at IMTS

Mitutoyo is proud to unveil the latest addition to its Linear Height Gage line, the LH600F/FG linear high measurement system. This new model boasts several enhanced features, including a high-accuracy scale unit and guiding mechanism, both manufactured in Mitutoyo’s Japanese facilities, ensuring top-notch precision and reliability.

The LH600F now incorporates a user-friendly touch screen interface, allowing for straightforward operation with either a press of a button or intuitive touchscreen icons. Its rotatable and adjustable display facilitates use from both front and rear orientations, enhancing versatility in various measurement scenarios. Additionally, the LH600F offers custom output options, including Digimatic output for direct data transfer to Excel or SPC software, both wired and wirelessly, while still supporting USB and RS232C outputs.

Key features of the LH600F include:

  • Self-Check Function: Detects dirt or oil on the encoder, ensuring the instrument remains clean for accurate measurements.
  • Flexible Measurement Settings: Instant unit, resolution, and delta measurement changes from the previous reading.
  • Air Bearing System: Facilitates smooth movement of the height gage, with a semi-float mode for easier sliding during measurements, even with heavy parts.
  • Motorized Capabilities: Enhance repeatability and reproducibility, with improved 2D mode for measuring angles, bolt hole circles, and more.
  • Optional Footswitch: Available for hands-free repeat measuring of volume parts.
  • Multiple Probe Choices: Includes switchable probe positions for perpendicularity and straightness measurements.

The LH600F boasts an accuracy of (1.1+0.6L/600)μm with 0.1μm/0.5μm resolution/repeatability, making it an ideal tool for precision measurement tasks in various industrial applications.
