Verisurf Announces Enhanced Validate Software for Seamless CAD/CAM Translation

Verisurf Software Inc. has unveiled an upgraded version of its integrated CAD/CAM translation and validation software, Validate, now featuring direct access to an enhanced standalone edition of Kubotek Kosmos Validate software. The collaboration between the two companies, which dates back to 2011, has resulted in the development of the Verisurf Validate module, embedded within Verisurf, to support CAD/CAM translation validation, particularly catering to customers requiring compliance with Boeing Standard D6-51991.

The upgraded Validate software offers expanded features and bi-directional compatibility with popular CAD/CAM software programs and file transfer protocols. This enhancement provides Verisurf Validate customers with direct access to the comprehensive capabilities of Kubotek Kosmos Validate software.

In modern manufacturing, the adoption of 3D model-based definition (MBD) processes is crucial for error reduction and eliminating manual data re-entry inherent in traditional drawing-based communication methods. With MBD, the original 3D model serves as the authoritative dataset for all manufacturing verification. OEM quality assurance systems often mandate suppliers to document the validation of all translations to ensure data integrity and compliance with established product acceptance software requirements, such as Boeing Standard D6-51991 Rev N Section 3.

Verisurf stands out as the sole measurement, reverse engineering, and inspection software built on a comprehensive 3D CAD/CAM platform with intelligent MBD functionality. This design guarantees data integrity and enables users to seamlessly execute metrology workflows within a unified CAD environment, ensuring model-based digital continuity throughout the manufacturing process.

Furthermore, Verisurf software boasts compatibility with all CAD file formats, while the Verisurf Device Interface (VDI) ensures seamless communication with all 3D measurement devices for universal compatibility. The software’s modular design facilitates smooth transitions between reverse engineering, inspection, and tool building tasks, streamlining the capture and processing of measurement data for diverse 3D metrology applications with consistent process control across the manufacturing spectrum.
