Sandvik Coromant has launched a new Digital Live Machining (DLM) training programme. The seminars are streamed live from Sandvik Coromant Centres, a global network of facilities outfitted with cutting-edge machinery and technology. Live machining demonstrations, instructional presentations, and interactive discussions with engineering professionals are all part of the DLM sessions.
Sandvik Coromant has been holding DLM sessions at its Sandvik Coromant Centres for some years. The centres are physical structures staffed by competent engineers and technicians who are knowledgeable in metal cutting and machining technology. The digital sessions are intended to provide attendees from all over the world with access to this wealth of knowledge, as well as to assist manufacturers and machine shops in optimising their metal-cutting operations, saving energy, improving productivity, and lowering costs.
The centres are in significant markets such as the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Sweden, India, and China. Offering virtual sessions through DLM corresponds with the opening of several new Sandvik Coromant Centres, including one in the United Kingdom, which will open in May 2023.
