New machines don’t have to be intimidating, especially when you have a user-friendly Sodick machine that…
Colin Griffiths of MTDCNC is at IMTS 2022 with Jim Alles of Sodick to find out more about their latest AM machine. Sodick have been printing parts since 2015, and with the new LPM325S in 2022, Sodick have expanded the range of materials to include cobalt chrome, aluminium, and titanium in addition to the standard Inconel and steel. While older models could take days for a change of material, the LPM325S can accomplish the change in 6 hours. Using a 500W or expanded 1000W laser, the machine centres and lasers down a bed of powder. Sodick manufactures everything within the machine, giving them complete control and allowing for greater repeatability with an accuracy of 20 microns. With the investment in Sodick’s new AM machine they can get you up and running in three days! If you’re struggling with something you can’t manufacture yourself like a one-off or R&D product, the Sodick LPM325S is something you should look at! Connect with Sodick to find out how you can test the parts made at Sodick’s 3D Parts Lab before you make your purchase.
