Great British Manufacturing Podcast Episode Forty Eight

Welcome to a special edition of the Great British Manufacturing Podcast. We typically feature an array of positive industry stories but this week we are dedicating the podcast to an exciting new collaboration.

IPG, developers of renewable generator technology; the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME), a collaboration between Coventry University and Unipart Manufacturing; and SDE Technology, tier-1 and tier-2 manufacturing experts, have formed an alliance to co-develop the blueprint for volume manufacture of the IPG Flameless Generator – the firm’s clean-and-green replacement for the diesel generator.

We discuss the project with Toby Gill, CEO of IPG, Dr Marcos Kauffman, Director of Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) at the University of Coventry, and Christopher Greenough, Chief Commercial Officer of SDE Technology.

SHOW NOTES:

Find out more about Dr Kauffman’s book Profiting from Industry 4.0: The road to future value in manufacturing.
