Alicona Optical metrology Systems offer additionial and complementary capability to exisiting CMM systems, they do not replace them. With the ability to measure small features that CMM’s cannot access, e.g. edge break and surface finish on components the addition of an Alicona system in the measurement room completes the measurement capability providing a full measurement capability.
