Alicona Manufacturing brings the latest manufacturing generation to the next level through a unique combination of high resolution optical 3D measurement and automated machine programming. This is setting a trend of integrated manufacturing by offering a production system based on the measurement of components directly in the machine with the automated adjustment of machining parameters to achieve specification. The Alicona R25 sensor can be used in many different types of machine tools to enable integrated metrology.

In the sink erosion case shown here there has been up to a 4x increase in machining accuracy, elmination on clamping errors, 25% resource savings and shorter lead times at a better output ratio. Other examples would be in process surafce finish measurement and intergation with hybrid machining.
